Privacy Policy
Trust is at the heart of therapy. Your privacy matters here.
Privacy Notice
I take your privacy seriously. Whether you’re just browsing this site or thinking about getting in touch, this page explains what personal information I collect – and how it’s handled with care.
Visiting This Website
This website is built with WordPress and hosted in the UK (by Krystal). I don’t use cookies to track visitors, and I don’t use Google Analytics or any marketing tools.
The only plugins in use are for the contact form and website security. These may set essential cookies, but only for technical reasons — not to gather data about you.
I don’t collect or store personal data from visitors — unless you choose to send me a message.
Getting in Touch
If you use the contact form, your name, contact details, and message will come directly to me by email. By doing that, you’re giving me permission to respond – whether that’s by email, phone, or text, depending on what you’ve shared.
I won’t add your details to any list, and I’ll never share them with anyone else unless legally or professionally obligated to do so. I adhere to the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy Council (BACP) code of ethics and more details can be found on their website at, specifically the BACP Ethical Framework and Managing Confidentiality
If you decide not to go ahead with counselling, I’ll delete your message and contact details within a month (or sooner if you ask). If we do start working together, I’ll give you a more detailed privacy notice that explains how your information is protected as a client.
Email Contact Form, Security & Spam Protection
To help protect the contact form from spam and abuse, this website uses a tool called Cloudflare Turnstile. It works quietly in the background to confirm that a real person (not a bot) is submitting the form. Cloudflare doesn’t collect or store personal information for this purpose.
The contact form itself is managed through WPForms, and email delivery is managed by MailerSend. MailerSend temporarily stores metadata and delivery logs (such as email addresses and timestamps) to ensure the secure and successful delivery of your message. They do not sell or share data, and their services are compliant with the UK GDPR, with data centres based in the EU.
Any information you share will only be used to respond to your enquiry and will not be shared or used for marketing. No data is stored on the website beyond what’s needed to deliver your message safely.
A note about email:
Email isn’t always the most secure way to communicate. That said, I use Proton Mail, which offers end-to-end encryption on its servers. If you also use Proton, our messages can remain fully encrypted beyond the contact form. Otherwise, I’ll still take care to protect your information and keep communication as private as possible.
Your Rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Ask what information I hold about you
- Request corrections or deletion
- Limit or object to how your data is used
If you ever have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. You also have the right to raise any concerns with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
